NRA Basic Shotgun Course
Learn the Basic Knowledge, Skills & Attitude, necessary for Basic Marksmanship, Safe Handling, and Storage of Guns & Ammunition. This Basics of Shotgun Shooting Course is for all individuals, irrelevant of experience or N.R.A.-Affiliation. Topics include Firearm Safety (Mandatory); Proper Handling of Shotguns, Ammunition Knowledge, Shotgun Selection, Shooting Fundamentals, Proper Maintenance, and Range Safety. Also, Students will complete a Nationally Standardized Live-Fire Training Qualification with a Certified Instructor. Students will receive the N.R.A. Basics of Shotgun Shooting Book, Gun Safety Rules brochure; and must complete an in Classroom Written Exam, and will receive a Course Completion Certificate after Passing the Live-Fire Range Session. This Course also does satisfy the requirements for the Virginia State Concealed Handgun Permit Application.
